Formed and used landscape

In the BARNIM PANORAMA, you can experience the full diversity of a cultural landscape in an exhibition. Start off on a journey through landscape, nature and the agricultural history of the Barnim! Six theme rooms explore dependencies and influences between nature and agriculture and invite you to marvel and discover.

We start with the landscape transformation of the Barnim – from an ice-age wilderness into a cultural landscape. The exhibition takes a close look at the soil both biologically and ecologically as the basis of life, but also considers it from a social policy aspect. The heart of the building is a light-flooded room filled with agricultural machinery. Here visitors make their way through what looks like a herd of tractors. Up above, beneath the attic, country life throughout the year is displayed – now is the time for a good browse. At the highest point of the building, a vast panorama window reveals a view of the Wandlitz Lake. Finally, in the last room, the most extensive exhibit awaits the visitors: A walk-on map of the Nature Park and invites you to set off on a trail of discovery from a bird’s eye view.
