A farsighted lake view

On the second floor, there is a further exhibition »highlight« in the truest sense of the word. There, way up on top, a vast panorama window reveals a view of the Wandlitz Lake to you. Here an over four-metre-long original drill core from the Wandlitz Lake testifies to the lake as a habitat with depth.

The diversity of the biological communities living in and around the lake is just as impressive as their social significance, extending right through to the history of the ownership structures. Sit down and use the telescope to explore the surrounding countryside.
